Description:

Zeta Reticulans, also known as Greys or Roswell Greys, are one of the most well known, recognizable, and frequently reported species of alien in history.

They are usually described as standing at about 3.5 to 4.5 feet tall with a small body and thin limbs, hairless and lacking in most recognizably human appendages such as genitals, noses or ears. They have a noticeably large head, a smaller, narrow jaw/chin and big black eyes.

In many abduction and encounter reports, Zeta Reticulans are described as being cold, calculating, and having powers of telepathy or hypnosis. Beings described as, or similar to the Greys, are notably common in very traumatic and invasive accounts of alien abduction.

 

Prominent Encounters:

Aleister Crowley (1917)

Crowley allegedly made contact with a being in 1917 that matches the description of a classic Grey Alien, that he referred to as 'Lam'. He contacted this creature while he was in New York, through rituals he called Amalantrah Working.

 

Cape Girardeau (1941)

A minister by the name of Reverend William Huffman, along with other Missouri locals, claimed to have seen a UFO crash site along with bodies of small grey extra-terrestrials with large eyes and craniums. According to reports military quickly took over the scene and collected the debris and bodies.

 

Roswell (1947)

William Ware “Mack” Brazel found debris on his ranch about 75 miles north of Roswell. Later witness testimonies report seeing bodies of small grey men around the wreckage.

 

Kelly-Hopkinsville (1955)

Five adults and seven children made claims to police that their farmhouse in Christian County Kentucky was being attacked by aliens and they had been shooting at the intruders "for nearly two hours". The family described these aliens as short dark figures, standing at about 2 to 4 feet tall, with spindly legs, glowing eyes, and large pointed ears.

 

Betty and Barney Hill (1961)

While driving at night through rural New Hampshire, the couple claimed to see a light moving in the sky. They had multiple sightings of the light that night as it got closer to them, as well as a close encounter where Barney was able to see several figures inside the craft once it was much closer. Both Betty and Barney had issues putting the pieces together after the encounter. They reported losing time during the incident and noted damage that had been done to both the car and their clothing.

 

David Huggins (1960s)

Huggins claims he had many encounters with strange otherworldly beings throughout his life since he was 8 years old. Although he met many different types, many of his accounts describe an extraterrestrial woman named Crescent, who matches the description of a Zeta Reticulan, but with jet black hair. He claims that he fathered many alien hybrid children with this woman, and had various out of body experiences, as well as face to face meetings with extra-terrestrials. He has many paintings of these encounters throughout his life.

 

Dulce Base (1970s)

A popular theory regarding the belief that there is a hidden underground base in Dulce New Mexico, under the Archuleta Mesa. Prominent sources for this theory include Phil Schneider, Paul Bennewitz and John Lear among others. Some of these whistleblowers/theorists suggest that this base is carrying out human experiments and cattle mutilation, and is controlled by the Greys in an agreement with the US government.

 

Travis Walton (1975)

5 days and 6 hours after being reported missing while on a forestry job in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Travis Walton made a phone call to his sister from a phone booth in Heber. He made claim that he was abducted by aliens, and crew members reported seeing Walton approach some kind of overhead light before his disappearance. This report is often seen as controversial, and possibly a hoax within UFO communities.

 

Ariel School (1994)

At a school in Ruwa, Zimbabwe, 62 school children reported seeing a UFO landed in the schoolyard during recess alongside other smaller crafts. Many of the children also reported sighting small men with large heads and big eyes, wearing all black. Some of them claim that the beings communicated with them telepathically, and gave warnings about earth regarding the environment.

 

John E. Mack Studies (1990s)

John E. Mack, a psychiatrist, conducted a psychological study of over 200 men and women on their experiences with alien abduction. What started with a theory that these encounters stemmed from mental illness, evolved into a more mysterious phenomena when no obvious mental disorders presented themselves. He also interviewed the children who witnessed the extraterrestrial craft at Ariel school in Zimbabwe.
